Michael Grzesiek (born June 2, 1994), professionally Shroud, is a Polish-Canadian Twitch streamer and former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player. He is known for playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout, and more recently Apex Legends.

Grzesiek started his CS:GO career with several ESEA teams, particularly Exertus and Manajuma. He was soon acquired by CompLexity Gaming as a stand-in and signed with Cloud9 in August 2014. He helped lead Cloud9 to 2nd place in ESL One Cologne 2017, and a first-place finish at ESL pro league season 4 in 2016.

On August 16, 2017, he announced that he is going out of the Cloud9 team, but that he and nothing would remain as substitutes on the ‘bench’. On April 18, 2018, Grzesiek left Cloud9 and professional CS:GO entirely. He occasionally plays CS:GO with Old Guys Club. Also participated in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds “Twitch Rivals” tournament, with his duo team placing second and winning a $5,450 prize. He continues to stream full-time on Twitch.

A former pro

The 24-year-old Toronto, Ontario, in August 2017, Shroud became a full-time streamer for Cloud9 until April 2018. During his career in the competitive scene, Shroud’s teams won $218,000.

He was temporarily banned from PUBG

PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, is pretty outspoken about people who cheat or glitch inside PUBG. “In my house, you follow the rules or you GTFO,” he’s quoted as saying. So it should come as no surprise that the PUBG team doesn’t take kindly to those who cheat and make the game experience less fun for others.

Shroud found someone using a glitch in PUBG to basically fly their car through the air.

“I was trying to have a good time,” admitted Shroud, who was originally slated to serve out a month-long ban. In reality, he was back on the game in a shorter span of time.
